Gutter Cleaning |
|
The main purpose of gutters on residential and commercial buildings is to prevent water from flowing off the roofs and seeping into basements and foundations. Also, gutters prevent stagnate water from dripping off roof edges. However, they can easily accumulate leaves, seeds, and other debris from nearby trees and so forth. When gutters become clogged, water begins to overflow over the edges, which eventually can lead to basement and structural damage. All gutters that we clean are done by hand. We clean and flush each downspout with water, making sure water flow is unobstructed. Any loose debris or obstructions are removed from the gutters and discarded to prevent further buildup. Question: Why should I have my gutters cleaned and maintained? Answer: Gutters buildup debris overtime, which can lead to to many problems, including stagnate water overflow, which can leak into basements and foundations thereby causing structural damage. The result could be thousands of dollars in damage, which is completely avoidable if you have your gutters properly cleaned and maintained. Question: How often should I have my gutters cleaned? Answer: It is recommended to have gutters cleaned and inspected every fall and spring after the seeds and leaves have finished falling. Under other circumstances, for example if you have a lot of trees present around your house, i.e. pine tress, you may need to have them cleaned more often than usual.
